BOOK LIBRARY
I have personally reviewed the following
books/literature and highly recommended them for MGB owners who are interested
in the mechanical aspects of engine performance tuning:
"HOW TO POWER TUNE MGB 4-CYLINDER ENGINES" (FOR ROAD OR
TRACK) by Peter Burgess Mainly covering engine modifications,
especially cylinder head work, with smaller chapters on transmissions,
suspensions, brakes and tires, this book does not contain the technical volume
as David Vizard's book does, but the information given is directly related to
the B-Series engine - worth the buy.
"SERVICE TIPS FOR THE AUTOMOTIVE MECHANIC" prepared by
Hastings Manufacturing Co. of Hastings, Michigan This manual is an
invaluable "how to" guide and source of technical information, such as general
specifications, for anyone embarking on an engine rebuild.
"TUNING BL'S A-SERIES ENGINE" by David Vizard
Although dealing with the smaller A-Series engine, much of the information
contained in this book can be comparatively related to the B-Series engine.
With a wealth of information to digest, I consider it to be the "bible" of
technical books.
